The AIRWAAV RX1 Recovery Mouthpiece is built to help you sleep deeper and recover better — starting with your breathing. Using patented Reflex Technology™, this low-profile mouthpiece gently guides your tongue forward to help keep your airway open through the night, without repositioning your jaw the way conventional devices do.

How it helps:

  • Clearer breathing at night — guiding the tongue forward helps reduce the airway narrowing that interrupts your sleep
  • Deeper, less interrupted sleep — a clearer airway means more time in the restorative stages your body needs
  • Better overnight recovery — quality sleep is when your mind resets and your body repairs, so you wake up genuinely rested

Built on more than 15 years of airway and performance research and designed for all-night comfort, the RX1 molds to your teeth at home in minutes and is backed by a 30-night risk-free trial.

Seek the advice of your physician before undertaking a new personal care regimen and never disregard medical advice. AIRWAAV RX1 Recovery is not a medical device and should not be used to treat any medical condition—discontinue use immediately if you experience any negative effects.

The Package Includes:
1 RX1 Recovery Mouthpiece, 1 Ventilated Case, Carabiner Attachment, and Fitting Instructions.

Materials
The RX1 is made from a patented fitting material that's BPA-free, latex-free, and phthalate-free — safe for nightly use. It's also hydrophobic, so it resists moisture and stays clean over time. Unlike the cheap EVA plastic used in most mouthpieces, this material forms precisely to your teeth when heated, then shrinks slightly as it cools — giving you a snug, custom fit that holds all night.

Made in the USA
Designed and manufactured in the USA in an FDA-compliant facility, built to a standard most mouthpieces don't meet.

Lifespan & Replacement
With normal nightly use, expect 4–6 months per mouthpiece, depending on your bite habits. When it starts to loosen or show wear, it's time to replace it — many customers keep a backup on hand or buy the 2-Pack so they're always covered.

How does the AIRWAAV RX1 Recovery Mouthpiece work?
The RX1 uses patented Reflex Technology™ to gently guide your tongue forward and away from your airway while you sleep. Small contact points inside the mouthpiece trigger a natural reflex that moves your tongue forward — the same instinct that sends your tongue to a popcorn kernel stuck in your teeth. With your airway clearer, your breathing is less interrupted, so you spend more time in the deep, restorative sleep where your body and mind actually recover.

Does it move my jaw forward like other mouthpieces?
No. This is the key difference between RX1 and most sleep mouthpieces. Conventional devices work by forcing your lower jaw forward and holding it there all night, which is what causes the jaw pain and soreness so many people quit over. RX1 leaves your jaw where it is. It works with your tongue instead — so you get the airway benefit without the jaw strain.

Will this help with snoring?
Snoring is caused by your tongue falling into the back of your throat during sleep and is caused by a variety of factors that are unique to the individual. AIRWAAV RX1 is designed to help guide your tongue forward and away from the back of your throat.

Is it comfortable to wear?
Yes. The RX1 sits low on your lower teeth and is built to stay put all night without bulk. Our patented fitting material is the reason — when you heat and mold it, it actually shrinks slightly as it cools, forming a snug, custom fit to your exact teeth. Most people forget it's in.

How do I fit it?
You mold it at home in about five minutes — no dentist visit, no impression kit to mail in. Heat it in hot water (or the microwave), bite to form it to your teeth, and let it set. We recommend letting it rest 24 hours before first use for the best fit. Full step-by-step instructions are on the RX1 Recovery fitting page.

How fast will I notice a difference?
Many people feel a difference the very first morning. For others it takes a few nights to adjust to sleeping with it — so consistent nightly use is what unlocks the full benefit. You've got 30 nights to find out (see the guarantee below).

Is there a money-back guarantee if the mouthpiece doesn’t work for me?
Yes, we offer a 30-day risk-free trial. If you’re not satisfied with the results, you can return the mouthpiece for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

Is the AIRWAAV RX1 suitable for individuals with sleep apnea or other breathing issues?
While the mouthpiece can help improve breathing during sleep, it’s important to consult with a healthcare provider if you have sleep apnea or other significant breathing issues.

Is AIRWAAV Recovery a medical device?
Seek the advice of your physician before undertaking a new personal care regimen and never disregard medical advice. AIRWAAV RX1 Recovery is not a medical device and should not be used to treat any medical condition—discontinue use immediately if you experience any negative effects.

Reviews

It works!!!

"I was skeptical but read the reviews and thought it sounded good in theory. I also figured I'd only be out $90 if it did not work and could not get my money back. For the first couple of nights, it will feel weird, but after that you will not really notice it. Per my wife, I do not snore anymore when I use it (I am a big time snorer - wake myself up sometimes). I do recommend it!!! As they put out in their literature, it forces your tongue up and forward slightly. Like I said, it will feel a little weird for a couple of nights, but it clearly does the trick for me!!!"

Works

"This is my second purchase. I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and supposed to go to the dentist and get a mouth guard, that very expensive. This isn't and works wonders. I am sleeping better and my health is starting to improve."

MARIA W. (5/5)

Comfortable Well Made

"The fit process was easy. The fit was comfortable and I had no problem sleeping with this mouth piece. Unfortunately I did not gain the expected benefit ( less snoring) I have availed myself of the 30 day return window. Let me be clear the issue is me, not the mouthpiece"

Cynthia D. (3/5)

what a difference!

"I have tried several mouth guards for sleep with little success, including the expensive dentist-made version. My issue is clenching and there isn't really a good solution. But the first night I slept with my AIRWAAV mouth piece I noticed the difference. And now, several weeks later, it is much more notable the benefit I get when using the mouth piece versus when I do not. No more jaw pain, deeper and less interrupted sleep, and less headaches upon waking. That is good enough for me to keep using it every night!"

Megan M. (5/5)

It works.

"I’ve been using this mouthguard for two weeks now, and my sleep has improved so much. I used to use the popular Reviv mouthguard and other brands, but none of them worked for me. The AIRWAAV sleep mouthpiece has been a game-changer. If you grind your teeth, I highly recommend giving this brand a try!"

Pat (5/5)

Gamechanger

"AIRWAAV Recovery RX1 mouthpiece worked for me as advertised. Perfect fit. No pain or discomfort like other mouthpieces I tried. No more snoring. Best consecutive 2 weeks of sleep I’ve ever experienced."

Melvin M. (5/5)

It really helps

"I've been doing sleep apnea for 15 years and having to put a CIPA every night to sleep. The mouthpiece has reduced the amount of apnea im doing significantly. I can only recommend or at least give it a try. It took me about 3 days to get use too."

Gérôme M. (5/5)

Really Works!

"AIRWAAV is the 5th mouthpiece I've tried for snoring and mild sleep apnea. It is the only one that continues to work for me."

Virginia C. (5/5)

Feels nice

"I have used them for a month and it feels nice. Tounge moves forward and I think they do the job. Snoring still the same for me, so not for erradicate it, but I think air flow is better."

Alfredo M. (5/5)

I need get it used to

"Well, for sleep I like that I don’t feel bad breath in the morning, although I think I need to go to sleep earlier to really see the results. As for the sport one, I like that it doesn’t feel like the air is restricted or that I’m running out of breath in my throat. It’s a good invention."

Q&A

No Jaw Repositioning

Most sleep mouthpieces force your jaw forward all night, which is what causes the soreness people quit over. The RX1 leaves your jaw alone and works with your tongue instead.

Backed by Real Research

The RX1 is the product of more than 15 years of airway and performance research led by Dr. Dena Garner at The Citadel. That work is the foundation the mouthpiece was designed around, so the science behind your sleep is real, published, and peer-reviewed.

Fits in 5 Minutes, Risk-Free for 30 Nights

No dentist visit, no impression kit to mail in. Heat the RX1, bite to mold it to your teeth, and it's ready the same night. If it's not the difference you hoped for, send it back within 30 nights for a full refund. The only thing you have to lose is another groggy morning.

The ridges on the new AIRWAAV Recovery allow my tongue to sit where it’s supposed to so I can breathe all through the night and wake up less. If you are someone who’s looking to improve your sleep or your recovery, the new AIRWAAV Recovery Mouthpiece is for you.
