AIRWAAV Recovery is a lower fit mouthpiece designed to enhance the quality of sleep and assist in faster recovery. The Recovery mouthpiece is designed with patented Reflex Technology which activates the tongue’s natural response during sleep to direct it forward to open the airway. Studies have shown opening the airway during sleep improves sleep quality — better sleep promotes faster recovery.

Snoring is caused by your tongue falling into the back of your throat during sleep and is caused by a variety of factors that are unique to the individual. The Recovery mouthpiece is designed to help guide your tongue forward and away from the back of your throat.

When wearing the mouthpiece, let your tongue naturally move forward – for most, it will move forward and toward the roof of your mouth. The Reflex technology is still guiding your tongue forward to enhance your breathing no matter where your tongue naturally sits.

If you already tape your mouth for nasal breathing during sleep, then this mouthpiece will only help promote better breathing and recovery. We suggest adding the Recovery mouthpiece into your normal sleep routine.

Step 1: Customize
Fit the mouthpiece using the microwave or boiling water and follow the instructions included with the packaging. Let the mouthpiece sit for 24 hours to allow material to shrink and ensure a snug fit. You can also view the fitting instructions here.

Step 2: Insert AIRWAAV
Before you fall asleep, place the mouthpiece on your bottom teeth and let the tongue move naturally. Do not force movement of the tongue or jaw.

Step 3: Sleep
Allow the Reflect Technology to work while you sleep, opening the airway naturally for deeper, uninterrupted sleep and better recovery.

Unlike the other AIRWAAV Performance Mouthpieces, the Recovery Mouthpiece includes the addition of our patented Reflex Technology which activates the tongue’s natural response during sleep to direct it forward to open the airway. The Recovery is designed with patented fitting material and a special support wall fits snug and stays in place during sleep. This mouthpiece is made for sleep to improve sleep quality and faster recovery.

Recovery is made for sleep with added technology. We recommend sleeping with the AIRWAAV Recovery Mouthpiece and training with the AIRWAAV Performance Mouthpiece.

We do not currently have studies to support the claim that AIRWAAV Recovery protects against teeth grinding. The bite plate is designed to absorb clenching.

To clean the mouthpiece, simply run your mouthpiece and case under running water, spray 2-3 pumps of the AIRWAAV Mouthpiece Cleaner onto the mouthpiece and case, and let air dry for at least 60 seconds. We recommend replacing the mouthpiece every 9 months, depending on how hard you clench down during sleep.
