Rich Froning
Crossfit Games Athlete
AIRWAAV ATHLETE
I have other tools to help me recover and perform, but none of them are on the competition floor other than AIRWAAV.
Rich Froning, born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, now resides in Cookeville, Tennessee, where he attended Cookeville High School. During his high school years, Froning excelled in baseball, earning recognition as an all-district and all-region second baseman. Despite receiving two college baseball scholarships, he opted to work at the Cookeville Fire Department while attending Tennessee Technological University.
He was introduced to CrossFit in 2009 and quickly developed a passion for the sport. By 2010, he began coaching and competing, laying the foundation for his legendary career in CrossFit.
Froning’s legacy in the sport is unmatched, with an extraordinary achievement of 10 CrossFit Games titles, including 4 individual and 6 team wins - a record-setting accomplishment in CrossFit history. A key component of his success lies in his emphasis on breathing techniques during training. Froning prioritizes proper breathing techniques, utilizing equipment that supports this approach, and treats breath training with the same dedication as training major muscle groups during competition preparation. Central to his regimen is the AIRWAAV Mouthpiece, an indispensable tool that he wears in both training and competing, ensuring optimal performance and success.
