Like most things the AIRWAAV™ Performance Mouthpiece (device) will take some time to get used to. After molding we suggest getting used to your mouth and body used to the device by using it in a “shorter” workout. That could be a short HIIT workout or even a shorter run. The device is made of a special material that can be remolded but we’ve found after a few (three to five) wears/uses the body will get used to the device and it will fit perfectly.
AIRWAAV offers two versions: HIIT and Endurance. Both versions provide the same benefits, but they differ in fit and usage.
AIRWAAV operates on a simple yet ingenious principle: optimal jaw alignment. By directing your tongue down and forward, this mouthpiece gently widens your airway while simultaneously igniting cortical brain function. The result? A game-changing enhancement to your performance.
Every person's anatomy is different and will experience AIRWAAV® differently. Simply put, you should feel more efficient. You'll get the same or better results with less effort.

AIRWAAV® Performance Mouthpiece (device) is built to support your training no matter what sport you’re playing. However, it is NOT built/constructed in any way to protect your teeth during contact sports. So if you’re playing a contact sport please do not use AIRWAAV® to project your teeth. But if you’re competing in an event that is a non-contact sport we highly recommend you use the device in both your training and competition.
A “How-to” video and fitting device are available on the AIRWAAV® website. A microwave is the recommended method for fitting.
Absolutely! In fact, we have peer-reviewed, published research. Visit airwaav.com to review the studies or feel free to email customerservice@airwaav.com with any questions.
The AIRWAAV™ Performance Mouthpiece is backed by 15 years of research and development including peer-reviewed published articles about its efficacy. It is patented and is different from every other device because it’s built to support both your strength and conditioning work. In addition to supporting both strength and conditioning work AIRWAAV® supports your recovery by reducing extra strain on the body (lower BPM) and by lowering cortisol levels.
Yes, that should be fine, for people with smaller mouths, we recommend trimming the ends of the mouthpiece.
