Tom Stoltman’s Endorsement: "Look at the Evidence and Who’s Using AIRWAAV"

"For me, it's all about peace of mind. Knowing that I have the best technology backing me up makes a huge difference."

Tom Stoltman, a towering figure in the world of professional strongman, has firmly established himself as one of the greatest in the sport's history. Hailing from Invergordon, Scotland, Tom has achieved remarkable feats, securing the coveted title of World's Strongest Man three times—in 2021, 2022, and 2024. Alongside these global victories, he has also dominated the national stage, winning Britain's Strongest Man in the same years. Known affectionately as "The Albatross" due to his extraordinary arm span, Tom's achievements go beyond mere physical skills.

Tom Stoltman is the first Scot to ever win the World's Strongest Man title, a groundbreaking accomplishment that has solidified his place in strongman history. He also holds a world record in the Atlas Stones, an event that has become synonymous with his name. But perhaps what makes Tom's story truly inspiring is how he has redefined the limits of what is possible, not just as an athlete, but as someone living with autism. His journey serves as a powerful testament to perseverance and the ability to overcome challenges, both physical and mental.

In an interview with USA Today, Tom reflected on his latest victory at World’s Strongest Man, saying, "I’ve worked for a third title for a while now and to do it before 30 years old is an achievement. I’m just happy with myself. Happy with my performance. Kept my head." These words capture the essence of a man who has not only pushed the boundaries of strength but has also remained grounded and focused, achieving greatness through sheer determination and self-belief. Tom has already achieved massive success at a young age, and he's poised to continue breaking barriers in the years to come.

As a seasoned competitor, Tom recognizes the critical role that the right equipment plays in his success. He has been using the AIRWAAV mouthpiece for some time, and in a recent conversation, he shared why he trusts this technology and how it has become an integral part of his journey in strongman. “Look at the evidence and who’s using them! Give it a try yourself and tell me you don’t notice a difference!” Tom’s endorsement of AIRWAAV isn’t just about a product—it’s about the confidence it gives him as he takes on the world’s most formidable challenges.

Tom's insights offer a glimpse into the mindset of a champion who leaves nothing to chance. For him, having the best technology isn’t just an advantage—it’s a necessity. And with AIRWAAV by his side, Tom Stoltman continues to push his limits, setting new benchmarks in the sport of strongman and inspiring athletes around the world to do the same.

Q: Can you walk us through the pivotal moment when you decided to dive headfirst into the world of Strongman?

A: "I can't remember an exact moment but watching Luke win Scotland's Strongest Man and seeing him in the gym and how he could move these massive objects, and the confidence he had, that was the inspiration for me."

Q: What was the spark that ignited your passion for this unique sport, and how did it drive you to where you are today?

A: "I didn’t actually enjoy the gym at first, but Luke and my mum kept pushing me to keep at it, being autistic having all the mirrors, music and people there it wasn’t a comfortable environment for me, but thanks to Luke and mum I kept my head down and kept going and soon started to see real progress and I loved that and it helped with my confidence too. Luke was already competing in strongman so I'm grateful to that for him to show me the path and I took to it straight away, I became focused very early on becoming the World's Strongest Man, I felt that was my calling if you like."

Q: What aspect of Strongman keeps you hooked and fuels your fire to train and compete at an elite level?

A: "It’s a dream job for me, I struggled when younger to fit in at various jobs I tried, but when I found the gym and soon realized I had potential as a professional strongman athlete I knew exactly what I needed to do to make that a reality, and I'm so fortunate that the hard work has paid off. I love everything about strongman, being able to train and compete with my brother is a huge bonus too and not something I take for granted."

Q: Give us a glimpse into your past training and other sports that have molded you into the elite strongman athlete you are today.

A: "I was lucky that I got into strongman from a very early age thanks to Luke, but before that I loved football (soccer for Americans!) I still do, though it’s a little harder to play when you weigh as much as you do to be a strongman!"

Q: If you had to choose a single Strongman movement as your favorite, what would it be and why?

A: "For me it’s the Atlas stones, I don’t like to have favourites but for some reason me and atlas stones just really get on!"

Q: What’s a moment in your strongman career that you are most proud of?

A: "I'm not really one for looking back and reflecting while I'm competing, I just want to look forward to the next goal, I'm obviously very proud of my WSM wins, and they all mean so much to me, but for now its head down and work!"

Q: Can you tell us about a significant setback you have had in your career? How did you overcome it?

A: "Probably finishing second at WSM last year after winning the two previous years, it was a test for sure, but I'm lucky that I have a great team around me, and we sat down right away and made a plan for what changes we need to do to get the title back."

Q: From first encounter to present-day use, how has the AIRWAAV Mouthpiece helped your performance?

A: "It’s the peace of mind for me that I know I have the best technology supporting me, it allows me to just think about lifting which is key. AIRWAAV is a great addition to my armor!"

Q: Did you use a mouthpiece prior? If so, what sets AIRWAAV apart from other mouthpieces in the market?

A: "Comfort really and easy to use, it is research backed too which supports their use further."

Q: Do you have a preference in the PX1 vs the PX2 models? Give us a glimpse on which mouthpieces you prefer and why.

A: "PX2, I prefer the close fit so it feels part of my mouth."

Q: How does the AIRWAAV mouthpiece help you the most? Are there specific movements you feel the most impact while using it?

A: "I wore it in every event at WSM, when grinding out that last few reps on say a deadlift type event I really feel it comes into play."

Q: Why should strongman athletes wear a mouthpiece?

A: "Look at the evidence and who is using them! Try it out for yourself too and tell me you don’t notice a difference!"

Q: Do you have any advice or tips for someone looking to start training in strongman?

A: "Start today! You will love it; it is much more exciting than just going to the gym! Who doesn’t want to be able to pick up a car and pull a bus?!"
