AIRWAAV Athletes at the 2024 CrossFit Games
The CrossFit community faced a challenging time during this year's Games when tragedy struck during the swim portion of Event 1 at Marine Creek Lake. In response, CrossFit officials, athletes, and coaches gathered at Dickies Arena to discuss how to proceed with the competition. Ultimately, the decision was made to carry on with the competition and the 2024 CrossFit Games resumed Friday morning, starting with a moment of silence for Lazar Dukic.
Despite this tragedy, AIRWAAV athletes achieved notable results at the 2024 CrossFit Games. James Sprague has officially been crowned the Fittest Man on Earth, securing the 2024 CrossFit Games title with an impressive performance. Dallin Pepper, finished as the second fittest man on earth at his fourth appearance at the Games. As s key member of the AIRWAAV team, Sprague and Pepper showcased how dedication and the right training tools, like the AIRWAAV Performance Mouthpiece, can elevate an athlete's game.
Not only did AIRWAAV athletes reach the podium at this year's CrossFit Games, but they were also prominently featured throughout the competition floor, demonstrating the widespread adoption of this innovative technology among elite athletes. Sam Kwant placed sixth, demonstrating his veteran experience and competitiveness and rookie athlete, Austin Hatfield, finished in 10th place with two impressive event wins. On the women's side, Paige Semenza had a consistent performance finishing the weekend in ninth place.
We are proud of all of our AIRWAAV athletes who competed at this years CrossFit Games and for those such as Victoria Campos, who chose to withdraw from the competition due to the tragic event. Special congratulations to Luke Parker, Harry Lightfoot, Cole Greashaber, Abbie Domit, Julia Kato, and Jack Rozema for their notable performances as well and for choosing to continue to compete in honor of Lazar.
