AIRWAAV Athlete Sean Conway will be attempting to break the current world record and complete Iron102, beginning June 12, 2022. This challenge consists of 102 Ironman distance triathlons completed across 102 consecutive days. An Ironman Triathlon includes a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile cycle, and 26.2-mile run. This will undoubtedly be one of the most remarkable feats of human endurance and performance seen to date, and would also set a new world record.
Sean is attempting to break the Iron Cowboy 101 record, which consisted of a full-distance triathlon for 101 consecutive days. Not only is he attempting to set a new world record, but he will also be taking steps to ensure each Ironman is as close to real-life race conditions as possible. Sean will only be completing open water swims and will be climbing 1,000m on the bike each day - all with a 17-hour daily time cap.
He’ll be using AIRWAAV ENDURANCE throughout his entire challenge to improve his breathing efficiency and endurance during each ironman, and speed up recovery between Ironmans from AIRWAAV’s impact on lactic acid reduction and lowering cortisol levels.
Sean and his team will run a structured social media campaign to track the challenge from start to finish, and AIRWAAV will share all updates on Instagram. Sean will document his Iron102 journey and write his eighth book about his world record attempt which will be followed by a worldwide speaking tour.
